Sharing Your Faith in the Workplace
Sharing Your Faith in the Workplace

Sharing your faith in the workplace can be challenging; it can be difficult to find meaningful and natural ways to point your co-workers to Christ. One of the most effective ways I have found to share my faith takes nothing more than faith in God – believing He is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do!
We’ve all faced seemingly impossible situations at work. When faced with these situations, we have a perfect opportunity to share our faith - and the simplicity of it is staggering. In fact, the only thing you need to do is point to the Lord as the One you trust to have it all under control! Something as simple as a witness to your co-workers like, “The Bible tells us to take all our problems to the Lord” or “I can’t wait to see how the Lord works this out!”
I’ve had the opportunity multiple times to do just this in some tough situations in my business - and the Lord has never once failed to show Himself able to deliver us through the difficult season. After one particular time in which I publicly stated that God would make a way - one of my managers came to me after God worked out that particularly sticky situation and reminded me I had said He would! Now - our idea of what should happen may not work out; but without a doubt, I am convinced by experience and Scripture that God will use these situations to point people to Him. We just need to be ready to point our co-workers to the One who truly has everything under His control.
An example of this from Scripture is in Daniel 2 when King Nebuchadnezzar threatened the entire council of wise men with death (including Daniel and his three friends) unless they would not only interpret his dream, but also tell the king what his dream had been. Talk about a test! Daniel could have responded incredulously to the task (as many of his co-workers did) and tried to talk his way out of a tough situation. Rather than do this, Daniel took the opportunity to point others to God by seeking Him for the answer. Of course, the Lord did answer Daniel’s prayer and revealed both the king’s dream and the meaning behind it. The result was that Nebuchadnezzar professed the Lord as the one true God. All because Daniel trusted the Lord and pointed those around him to do the same.
We have that same opportunity every time we are faced with challenges. All you have to do is invite others to trust God and watch Him be glorified!
